: Request for Clarification on “Most Viral” Award – World’s Largest Hackathon

I hope this message finds you well.

First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the World’s Largest Hackathon. Being a final-year Computer Science student from Egypt, this event meant the world to me — not just as a competition, but as a platform to prove my capabilities, represent my region, and challenge myself on a global stage.

With utmost respect to the judging panel and every winner — I truly celebrate their innovation and effort. However, I write to you today feeling deeply disheartened, and I sincerely hope you will hear me out.

My Project: World Time
I dedicated weeks of hard work and strategic effort to building, promoting, and sharing my project. I didn’t just build an idea — I launched a full outreach campaign rooted in genuine and ethical growth, not bots or artificial means.

Clarification & Proof of Authenticity
I have been accused — directly or indirectly — of using unfair means to go viral. This is not only false, but it also deeply hurt after everything I’ve put in. Please allow me to present evidence that proves otherwise.

1. Viral LinkedIn Post

As of July 23rd:
• 1,056+ Likes
• 642+ Comments
• 115+ Reshares

Achieved through:
• Outreach to Arab creators and tech communities
• Shares from real creators, influencers, and students
• 100% organic engagement — all visible, public comments from real people

2. University Endorsement

My university (El Shorouk Academy, 100K+ followers) officially shared my project. I personally led a campaign that reached over 30,000 students via internal mailing lists.

3. Media Coverage

I was featured by a prominent local tech magazine which helped elevate the project’s reach and visibility among thousands of real people.

Why This Matters
I completely understand that not everyone can win. I never expected to win first place, nor do I wish to discredit any of the amazing projects out there.

But when a project gets this level of engagement and yet isn’t even considered for the “Most Viral” award, I respectfully feel there’s room to ask:

What were the official metrics used to determine “Most Viral”?

Were all projects properly evaluated, especially those with measurable public success?

Was platform bias involved in how virality was judged?

If it wasn’t considered, I understand. But if it was — I kindly ask for clarity or reconsideration.

Final Words
This hackathon wasn’t just a submission for me. It was a journey — of effort, dreams, and belief. I involved:
• My university
• My professors
• My family
• Dozens of creators
• Over 1 million total impressions across LinkedIn, Facebook, and other forums

To be silently excluded or accused of "faking" that is more painful than simply not winning.

Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Thank you for building a platform where young creators like myself can grow.
And thank you for the amazing effort to bring together a global tech community.

Sincerely,
Abdelwahab Mahmoud Gharib
