Will Using a Backup To Continue Your Project Disqualify you?
I have gone through about 8 million tokens trying to get my app deployed. Once it made it through a successful deploy or maybe before that the preview for the project stopped working. I have tried to get that working using bolt.new but it hasn't figured out how to fix that yet. I was thinking I would restore a backup from before it deployed and see if I could start from that point to try to fix the issue. The only thing is it says that will create a new project. So my question is will that will disqualify the entry from the hackathon or is it ok to use a backup in that way to continue and still be eligible for the hackathon?

Hi George,
First, I'm sorry to hear you've had trouble with this! Before going down the backup route, I encourage you to ask for tech help in the Bolt Discord: https://discord.com/invite/stackblitz
Second, if you do need to go with a backup, I don't believe that would disqualify your project. You would be submitting from the same builder account, the project is built after the start of this hackathon (the backup isn't from before the hackathon began, yes?), and it is otherwise completed before the deadline. If these are all true and you do start with a backup, I encourage you to also add text into your submission about the challenges you faced and how you resolved it.
Good luck!
Stefanie
