Mobile app submission

Can we just submit an expo go link of our project...?
Because not everyone would have access to either Google developer account or apple developer account

    Hi Raji,

There are a few notes in the rules for how to share mobile apps!

First, note that you still are required to have it published on Bolt and submit with the Bolt badge. The URL for these will look something like https://bolt.new/~/

As for mobile test builds, here are the three options provided:

    a. Android Applications: Upload an .apk file on the Enter a Submission form or provide a link for downloading the Application in the “Testing Instructions” field on the Enter a Submission form.

    b. iOS Applications:
-If your Application is available on the iTunes App Store provide a link in the “Website URL” field on “Enter a Submission” form. If you charge a fee for downloading your Application, you must provide a promo code.
-If your Application is not yet publicly available on the iTunes App Store, you must send a test build to the Administrator before the end of the Hackathon Submission Period using iTunes Connect. Enter the Administrator’s email address to share a build for testing. The Administrator’s iTunes account email is: testing@devpost.com.

    c. Web/Mobile Web: Provide a publicly accessible link for accessing your Application.

    Hope this is helpful!

On the submission of the mobile app, besides the files or the app link
Do you have to present some write-up on what the app is, etc , like attach a pdf?

Hello Harish, There is an area with in the submission form to share "About your project." Start a project on the My Project tab and check out all of the available questions

Is the project supposed to be fully functional? Could you please explain what this means by definition?
Does it require a database? Does it need to be exported to the store? Does it need to have a monetisation model locked in?
What do we mean by fully functional cause that can include most of the app working aside from not having a database cause it's not live yet

Under the My Project form, there's a section called Which Challenges are you submitting your project to?
How do you pick this? I have no idea which category I'm in. I think I'm the start-up category, but I'm not sure. There seem to be quite a lot of other categories
Which Bonus Prizes are you submitting your project to? ( what is this bonus prize part referring to?)

What's the difference between the -- "Try it out" links
and * Provide a URL to a publicly available version of the project that is fully functional as described for review and judging

Good questions! Please see this tab for details on the challenges and bonus prizes https://worldslargesthackathon.devpost.com/details/prizes
The try it out links and URL link are similar but one is optional and will be publicly available on Devpost and the other will only show to the judges. Best of luck!

If I had released it on the App Store, would I have had to incorporate a company first?

Hi Harish, Thank you for reaching out! I'm not sure about the requirements for the App Store so I can't answer this question. Best of luck!
