Reddit Account Suspended While Setting Up Devvit. Need Guidance

Hi team,
I’m participating in the Bolt.New hackathon and following the Silly Sh!t Challenge (using Reddit’s Developer Platform x Bolt to bring your wackiest, weirdest, and silliest ideas to Reddit in the form of a game).

While trying to create a subreddit to deploy the template (as shown in the GitHub repo), my Reddit account was suddenly suspended.

I’ve submitted an appeal to Reddit but haven’t heard back yet. I just want to clarify that can I continue with a backup Reddit account while keeping the same Devpost email and GitHub? Will this affect my eligibility?

I’m building solo and actively working on my submission , I just want to make sure I don’t violate any rules while trying to fix this.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

    Hi Areesha!

    I'm sorry to hear about the quick suspension! I have two recommendations for you:
    1. On the resources page, they also suggested contacting on Discord if you need more help: https://discord.com/invite/R7yu2wh9Qz so I would try that first in case that simplifies the next recommendation :)
    2. If you do need to switch the Reddit account, it needs to match in a few places to validate eligibility after the deadline: "Please note, participants must create a Developer Platform account to be eligible for this category. Make sure to include your Reddit username in your submission so we can verify you have done this." So in this case, you may need to also update your Developer Platform account (or create a new one) so that the Reddit username remains the same.
