Questions on this hackathon
It's indicated there is a submission date of May 30, what do you submit? A proposal? Should we list two projects or just one? Does the hackathon happen after this date as in you get on with coding your stuff until the next date on Jun 30 presenting to the panel? What's the experience like? or do you code it all in one day during the day of the event like a full-day virtual live event?
How do you find teammates? I know there's like a list on this site, but how does getting a teammate happen? Does any matching happen or it's just this list of people you browse through? Also, I have used Bolt before and typically when in projects it gets stuck and doesn't fix itself. Were there going to be people on standby that I could ask for assistance if this happens?
Also are there any rules about repurposing code and building on top of it?

Hi Harish, Great questions! I'll try to cover them all below:
May 30 is just the starting date of the hackathon. Participants will have the whole Submission Period (May 30 - June 30) to build a NEW application primarily with Bolt.new and submit it to the hackathon here (https://devpost.com/submit-to/24786-world-s-largest-hackathon-presented-by-bolt/manage/submissions). To submit the project it must be fully functional and public. The submission requirements include a demo video showing the project in action and a text description. Search the rules for "Submission Requirements" for the full list and review the full rules for all details.
For team building, it is in your hands to request a team up and get connected to others. You can also join the Bolt Discord Server (https://discord.com/invite/stackblitz) to connect with more people and get technical support if you get stuck.
The projects must be newly created by the Entrant (not just updated) but you can integrate third-party SDK, APIs and/or data, as long as you are authorized to use them in accordance with any terms and conditions or licensing requirements of the third-party tool.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the response. Do we get credit for the use of Bolt or any other resources?
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Good question! We have since announced the rules and to get access to the required tools, Entrants must sign up for the Free plan on https://bolt.new/ or use an existing https://bolt.new/ account. After May 30, access to additional resources will be provided via email within 3 business days of registration to eligible Entrants.

If I end up working on a mobile app, do I have to deploy it before I submit it?
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Thanks for the followup! The app will need to be fully publicly accessible. Per the rules the "Access must be provided to an Entrant’s working Project for judging and testing by providing a link to a website, functioning demo, or a test build". For more details, search for the "Testing" section under 4. How To Enter in the rules https://worldslargesthackathon.devpost.com/rules#4-how-to-enter
Best of luck!

I am unable to register , My school name it was asking but it was not in the options, But present i am in college still it is showing me to enter school name . What can i do now ?
and
How to add my team members into my team ?
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Hi Meghana! Welcome and I hope I can help. When setting up your account on Devpost you should be able to enter any school name even if it doesn't match one associated with our pre-existing list. The newly entered school name should be populating in the drop down area for you to select and continue from. Best of luck!

What is RevenueCat? Is that a separate thing from Bolt Pro to build mobile apps? Bolt Pro can build mobile apps? Do you need a domain name if you are building a mobile app?
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Thanks for reaching out! RevenueCat simplifies in-app monetization, making it easy to manage subscriptions, analyze customer data, and grow your user base. Learn more about the Make More Money Challenge presented by RevenueCat here: https://worldslargesthackathon.devpost.com/resources#make-more-money-challenge

So do you use Bolt Pro first and then RevenueCat later, like its integrated from within Bolt Pro?
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Good questions and that might be too technical for me! Ask questions and get support from RevenueCat experts and other developers here: https://community.revenuecat.com/

also should the credit already be in my account?
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Hi Harish, You should have received an email to the email currently associated with your Devpost account that you used to write the above message. The Email might be in your spam folder as it is sent from the no-reply devpost.com email.
Michelle Brain Manager • 12 months ago
Sorry, to answer your last question, no the credits are not automatically added to your account. The Builder Pack is an email with a bunch of unique codes for you to use
